Now this is just a rumor that has been plaguing games news sites for the last few days, but if the rumor is true I am going to have to get on my horse and gallop off into the sunset in excitement. The story broke originally on Showbizspy about Pitt  being targeted for the lead role of John Marston and is “being given first refusal” (meaning no other actors will be considered unless he turns it down). Showbizspy did not name the source however and claims that “The idea is to make this in the style of an epic Western movie but with a few modern touches.”

Video game movie adaptations have been slowly (and painfully) improving over the years, lets just hope the success of Red Dead Redemption doesn’t go straight to the film makers head. I am sure this is a franchise that fans wouldn’t like seeing torn up, eaten and then regurgitated a la Uwe Boll style. If the rumors are indeed true and Pitt accepts the role I for one will rejoice as I can see him as the only one who would be able to accurately play Marston.

I know I keep posting videos, but these are some you have to see. Especially the new Epic Mickey Opening Cinematic. It’s brilliant and brings back those feelings that I experienced when I was little watching Fantasia. Tell me you opinions of the trailer below.

I find beauty in knowing that somewhere on this interesting planet of ours is a man made Gundam standing at scale for the world to see. What I find even more beautiful is watching the clouds pass as it watches over crowds of tourists from all over the world that have come to gaze at it’s marvel. To me, this Gundam, is a powerful figure. A knight, a defender, and a symbol of a great culture.

New Line of Limited Edition AFTERGLOW Controllers To Be Revealed During the Penny Arcade Expo in September

LOS ANGELES—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Following an incredible showing at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, Performance Designed Products LLC (PDP), an industry leader in designing and manufacturing products for all major video game platforms, announced today a special surprise for gamers in the Q4 2010 period. The wildly successful AFTERGLOW™ line of illuminated video game controllers will be joined later this year by the Special Edition AFTERGLOW™ Prismatic series.

The AFTERGLOW™ Prismatic line will span the full range of today’s video game consoles, including the PlayStation 3®, Xbox 360® and an extra special dual pack for the Nintendo Wii™. The Prismatic series will deliver fans of the current AFTERGLOW controllers an entirely new and illuminating experience. The AFTERGLOW™ Prismatic controllers share the same design as the original AFTERGLOW controllers, but will feature a special new feature that will be revealed at the Penny Arcade Expo, held in Seattle, WA from September 3 through 5.

“E3 2010 was an amazing show for PDP,” notes Gerry Block, Senior Product Manager at the California-based gaming manufacturer. “The critical reception of our Tron, Epic Mickey, Kinect, PlayStation MOVE, and NERF product lines was spectacular, but we made a choice to keep the AFTERGLOW Prismatic line in reserve. When we give our fans the first look at the Prismatic controllers during PAX Prime in September, gamers are going to be blown away once again.”

PDP’s AFTERGLOW product line has met with critical acclaim since the products’ launch in May of 2010, garnering 9/10 review scores from critical industry heavyweights like IGN.com. The unveiling of the Special Edition AFTERGLOW™ Prismatic series in September, coupled with brilliant new color assortments of the existing AFTERGLOW line at retailers in Q4, will amplify the AFTERGLOW™ experience that thousands of gamers have already come to know and love.

The big reason why I am blogging today is to let you know about some news that was literally just dropped on my desk. PDP has been receiving tons of press about our Disney licensed Tron and Epic Mickey accessories and I have new information for you guys about them.

PDP and Disney have decided to limit the number of Tron Controllers made to what is thought to be around 25,000 units per platform. The extremely Limited Edition Disney licensed Tron controllers will be numbered collector’s items and will retail for $49.99.

The prototype Tron iPad case is still TBD. What I do know is that they will also be numbered and limited edition.
